Brooke Hogan said she has no regrets after learning she was not named in her late father Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea’s will, telling TMZ she had asked to be excluded and was unsurprised by the decision.

In the will, obtained by media outlets, Hogan’s younger son Nicholas “Nick” Hogan is listed as the sole beneficiary of the estate, while Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, is named as a surviving spouse. The estate is reported to include nearly $5 million in assets, including cryptocurrency, personal property and intellectual property rights, and a $4 million valuation for Hogan’s right to publicity, according to accounts from Us Weekly and other outlets.

“His decision is no surprise to me,” Brooke, 37, told TMZ on Thursday. “It’s what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets.” She said money never mattered in her relationship with her father and that she has been financially independent for many years. “My dad knows I’m a hard worker and I have been surviving without his money for a long, long time,” she added.

Brooke reiterated comments she made earlier on TMZ Live that she did not want to be drawn into potential disputes over the estate. “I just know how my family is,” she said previously. “And I’ve seen how certain members of my family go after money. And I see how they fight over money, and how they turn on each other over money. And I said, if and when my dad dies, this is going to be — pardon my French — a s—t show. And I want no part of it.”

Brooke said she has not received financial support from her father since she was 18. She is married to professional ice hockey player Steven Olesky; the couple welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly, in January.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ Sports that an occupational therapist who was with Hogan when he died in July alleged that a surgeon had “severed” the wrestler’s phrenic nerve during a May operation. The allegation was reportedly included in a police report filed after emergency responders were called to Hogan’s Florida home. TMZ reported last month that Sky Daily plans to file a medical malpractice lawsuit against the surgeon who operated on Hogan’s neck.

Hogan’s death was ruled an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, by the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. He was 71.

Public records and media reports indicate Hogan’s estate includes roughly $200,000 in cryptocurrency, about $799,000 in personal property and an intellectual property portfolio that contributes to the estate’s valuation. The precise value of any potential medical malpractice claim was not specified in the will disclosures reported by outlets.

Brooke’s response marks the latest public reaction from Hogan’s family since his death in July. Members of the family have been publicly linked to disputes over care, medical treatment and estate matters in the weeks following his death, with legal representatives and media outlets reporting on both the will and the pending malpractice allegations.

Brooke’s statements focus on personal independence and a desire to avoid family infighting, while public reports about the estate and possible litigation continue to emerge from media outlets and law enforcement sources.Hulk Hogan dies at 71
