Brooke Hogan said she was not surprised to be left out of her father Terry "Hulk" Bollea's $5 million will, telling TMZ that the omission was "what she asked for" and that she has "no regrets."

The will, filed after the wrestling legend's July death, left his estate to his son, Nick Hogan. Hulk Hogan, 71, died July 24 after suffering a heart attack; he had a history of atrial fibrillation, a condition that causes an irregular and rapid heart rate.

"His decision is no surprise to me. It's what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets," Brooke told TMZ, adding that her father knew she was "a hard worker" and that she had been "surviving without his money for a long, long time." She did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

Brooke, who has been estranged from both her father and her mother, Linda Hogan, for years, posted an emotional tribute to her father on Instagram after his death that offered details about the strain in their relationship. She wrote that the rift did not stem from a single public fight but from a series of private phone calls and shifts in their dynamic.

In the Instagram post she said her father had confided in her about "issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business." She wrote that she had "offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed" and had urged him to rest and take care of himself. Brooke said she had been present for many of his medical procedures — "almost 25 surgeries together," she wrote — but that, at some point, he began to withdraw, creating what she described as "a thick veil."

Brooke also said the changes coincided with a high-risk pregnancy and that the family disagreements took an emotional toll that led her to step back from the relationship. She told followers she had done everything she could for her father and that she is "at peace" with the state of their relationship.

Brooke and her husband, Steven Oleksy, and their twins, Oliver and Molly, relocated from Tennessee to Florida as her father aged, she previously said. She has previously explained her absence from her father's funeral, telling outlets that "people grieve in many ways."

The estate filing and Brooke's public remarks underscore longstanding strains in the Hogan family that played out in private messages and public statements in recent years. Legal filings show the $5 million estate was left to Nick Hogan, while Brooke has said she is financially independent and accepts her father's decision.

Representatives for Hulk Hogan and other family members did not immediately provide comment to Fox News Digital. Janelle Ash contributed reporting to the original coverage.
