Britain is celebrating two unique equine-related achievements featured in the upcoming 2027 edition of the Guinness World Records. The country is home to the world's tallest horse and the individual with the largest collection of My Little Pony memorabilia.

Hugo, a four-year-old Shire horse from Towcester, Northamptonshire, has been officially recognized as the world's tallest horse, measuring an impressive 6 feet 3 inches. His caretakers, Brett Masters and Lisa Masters, describe him as a gentle giant, akin to an oversized dog. Hugo's remarkable height is particularly surprising given that both his parents were of average stature. A veterinarian measured Hugo without his horseshoes to ensure an accurate record.

Alongside Hugo's record, Miranda Worby, 43, has earned a place in the record books for amassing the world's largest collection of My Little Pony items, currently numbering 4,550 pieces. Worby's passion for collecting began in her childhood. She initially desired a real horse but settled for a My Little Pony toy named Snowflake, which she still possesses.

By the late 1990s, Worby began to focus on acquiring My Little Pony collectables released in specific regions, utilizing the internet to track down rare items. The scale of her collection led her to move house in 2018 to accommodate the growing display. Worby expressed that achieving this Guinness World Record is deeply meaningful to her and encouraged fellow collectors to embrace their hobbies with pride.
