Brand New has announced a fall 2026 tour, titled "7 Years + 13 of The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me in Concert Tour," which will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2006 album, "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me." The tour is scheduled to include 16 dates across North America.
One of the notable stops on the tour will be at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Monday, Oct. 12. Tickets for the general public are set to go on sale Friday, June 26, at 12 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster, with presales available on secondary market sites like SeatGeek.
The "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me" album, released in 2006, is known for spawning fan-favorite tracks such as "Jesus Christ," "Sowing Season (Yeah)," "Degausser," "Millstone," and "You Won't Know." Pitchfork described the album in a 2016 review as having "blown up teen angst to literally biblical proportions." The album features 12 tracks, including "Sowing Season (Yeah)," "Millstone," "Jesus Christ," "Degausser," "Limousine (MS Rebridge)," "You Won't Know," "Welcome to Bangkok," "Not the Sun," "Luca," "Untitled," "The Archers’ Bows Have Broken," and "Handcuffs."
This upcoming tour follows Brand New's comeback shows in 2025, their first concerts since 2017. During their 2025 tour, the band performed a 27-song set at Belmont Park's UBS Arena, which included tracks from their albums "Deja Entendu" (2003), "Daisy" (2009), "Science Fiction" (2017), and nine songs from "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me." They also performed a cover of Neutral Milk Hotel's "Two-Headed Boy, Pt. Two."
Brand New's concerts are described as intense and communal, characterized by loud singalongs and emotional builds. The production typically focuses on atmosphere and lighting rather than elaborate spectacle.
In November 2017, allegations of grooming and inappropriate behavior with a minor surfaced against lead singer Jesse Lacey. Lacey subsequently issued an apology via the band's Facebook page, stating, "I am sorry for how I have hurt people, mistreated them, lied and cheated." He also acknowledged his position of power and its impact on interactions.
