Brad Pitt's upcoming film, "Heart of the Beast," recently held an exclusive preview screening in Santa Barbara, California, prior to its official premiere. The Paramount Skydance production was shown to an intimate audience at the SBIFF Riviera Theatre.

Attendees described the screening as an emotional experience, with one person noting, "There was not a dry eye in the house." The film features Pitt in the role of a Special Forces officer who becomes stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with his combat dog after a plane crash. It is directed by David Ayer, who previously worked with Pitt on the World War II film "Fury."

David Ayer was present at the Santa Barbara screening alongside screenwriter Cameron Alexander, producer Richard Raymond, and animal trainer Andrew Simpson. Simpson, whose previous credits include work on "John Wick," "Game of Thrones," and "The Revenant," was responsible for training the rescue dog that stars alongside Pitt.

"Heart of the Beast" is anticipated to perform well in Middle American markets. The film is scheduled to premiere in Nashville, Tennessee, following the private Santa Barbara showing.
