Blake Lively attended the FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday, sharing a selfie from the event on her Instagram Stories. The actress, 38, was seen with friends, including Stoney Clover Lane founders Kendall and Libby Glazer, and longtime friend Emma Gray. Spain emerged victorious in the match against Argentina with a 1-0 score. Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, was not featured in the post.
This appearance comes after reports that Lively was not invited to her former close friend Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden earlier this month. Guests at Swift's wedding reportedly included Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Brady, and Brad Pitt.
Around the time of Swift's wedding, Lively and Reynolds were observed supporting their daughter Betty at a horse show in Lake Placid, New York. A week later, the couple was seen having lunch in Mexico.
Sources cited a fallout stemming from Lively's legal dispute with director Justin Baldoni as a reason for the reported snub. A source told Page Six last month that "there hasn’t been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship," and that Swift had not extended a wedding invitation to Lively.
Another source previously stated that Swift, 36, needed "space" from Lively, feeling that her name was being unnecessarily brought into the lawsuits between Lively and Baldoni, 42. The insider added that Swift felt like a "pawn" and that "Taylor wants nothing to do with this whole ordeal."
Lively and Baldoni's legal case concluded with a settlement in May. However, a legal challenge regarding Lively's demand for more than $8 million in legal fees from Baldoni emerged last week, with Baldoni calling the figure "excessive" and seeking a reduction from the court.
Lively has remained active in public events since settling her case with Baldoni in May, attending various functions, including a Fendi event later that month. Reynolds has publicly supported his wife throughout the legal proceedings.
