The filmed version of Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour” is now available for streaming on Paramount+. The concert film, which includes performances of hits such as “Bad Guy,” “Birds of a Feather,” “Chihiro,” and the Oscar-winning “What Was I Made For?”, premiered on the platform on August 6.
Eilish co-directed the live recording of the tour with filmmaker James Cameron. The project was captured over four nights in Manchester, England. Eilish had previously teased the film during a concert, mentioning that she was working on something “very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it’s going to be in 3D.”
Cameron detailed the collaboration on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, explaining that Eilish was the “architect” of the show. He expressed his admiration for the stage production, calling it “astonishing” and “so beautiful,” and stated his desire to film it in 3D. The film includes behind-the-scenes content alongside the concert performances.
