Hannah Hobley-Smith, who played teen mother Chantelle Garvey on ITV’s Benidorm, has given birth to her second child, the actress announced on social media.
Hobley-Smith, 36, and her husband Nathan Hobley-Smith welcomed a daughter, Agatha, on Sept. 6, 2025. In a post accompanying a series of hospital photographs, she wrote, "World, meet Agatha Hobley-Smith - our 8lb chunk of gorgeousness. Born on the 06-09-2025." The couple’s first child, Beatrice, is two years old.
The announcement drew congratulatory messages from former Benidorm co-stars, including Oliver Stokes, who played her on-screen brother Michael. Hobley-Smith and Nathan were married in 2023, four months after Beatrice’s birth; the actress previously reflected on the short interval between the milestones in a social media post thanking friends and family who attended their wedding.
Hobley-Smith appeared in the first three series of Benidorm from 2007 to 2009, portraying Chantelle Garvey, a character often noted for her colorful tracksuits. She marked her first pregnancy in 2022 with a nod to that role, posting side-by-side photographs that juxtaposed a statement tracksuit with her baby bump and writing, "Spot the difference…" She later confirmed the pregnancy was genuine and thanked followers for their messages.
Her credits also include roles in the BBC drama Cranford and various pantomime productions. Since leaving Benidorm, Hobley-Smith has made occasional public appearances and maintained a presence on social media where she has shared personal milestones with fans.
The family has not released further details about Agatha’s birth beyond Hobley-Smith’s announcement. Messages of support and congratulations continued to appear on the actress’s social feeds following the post.
