Supermodel Bella Hadid is reportedly in a new relationship with Nathan Lacy, a project manager from Colorado, according to reports. The relationship emerges months after Hadid’s split from her cowboy boyfriend, Adan Banuelos.
A source told the Daily Mail that Hadid is "getting to know" Lacy and cautioned against reading too much into the burgeoning romance, stating, "I think she’s just trying to have a companion, she’s not trying to get married, she’s not trying to make this more than it is."
Lacy, 38, is described as being from a prominent local family in Colorado, known for being "very Catholic, very conservative and very red." His family owns a construction company in Crested Butte, Colorado, where he has worked since he was young. He has also gained a reputation as a "local heartthrob."
Hadid and Lacy were first seen together in Milan, Italy, in February. Since then, Hadid has been spotted visiting Lacy’s hometown.
This new relationship follows Hadid's breakup with Adan Banuelos in January after a "tumultuous" two years together. A source close to the model stated that the breakup was difficult, explaining, "The Adan thing took a lot out of her, she really loved him, he loved her, it didn’t work. She was hurt and it took some time for her to get past it."
Hadid had reportedly said she would not enter a new relationship for at least a year following her split from Banuelos. However, she and Banuelos were seen dancing at a bar in Weatherford, Texas, days after news of their breakup became public. Banuelos was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.
The former couple were spotted together again in April at a celebrity cutting event at Taylor Sheridan’s ranch in Texas, which fueled rumors of a reconciliation. However, sources indicated that their differing lifestyles ultimately proved insurmountable.
One insider explained the dynamic, noting Hadid's background as the daughter of Mohamed and Yolanda Hadid and her "jet-setting lifestyle" as a supermodel, which contrasted with Banuelos' "very insular world of rodeos."
"She tried to put him in her life and it’s all cute, but he is in a very insular world of rodeos," the source said. "He tried, but it’s too much."
Hadid and Banuelos reportedly began dating in the fall of 2023 after meeting at a horse show in Fort Worth, Texas. Hadid publicly acknowledged their relationship on Valentine's Day in 2024.
