Country music singer Bailey Zimmerman will not face felony criminal charges in connection with the alleged destruction of a hotel room in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in May. The Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office confirmed that the criminal matter against the 26-year-old artist has been dismissed because full restitution was made to the hotel.

Zimmerman's lawyer stated that the singer's immediate acknowledgment of his mistake and his accountability contributed to the decision. "Charges were dropped after Bailey took immediate responsibility for his mistake," the lawyer told KRQE. "We are grateful to the Pueblo of Sandia and the District Attorney’s Office for this just and swift resolution."

The incident occurred on May 27, the same day Zimmerman canceled a scheduled performance at the Sandia Resort & Casino. Damages to the hotel room were estimated at approximately $16,000, in addition to an unpaid alcohol tab of $400. An arrest warrant was issued on June 18, and Zimmerman subsequently filed paperwork on June 22 requesting a speedy trial.

According to an arrest warrant, Zimmerman's show was canceled after he reportedly exhibited signs of intoxication and lost his footing on stage. The artist later issued a statement expressing his apologies.

"First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino," Zimmerman said in a statement to the Daily Mail. "I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired."

He added, "I respect your community and the hospitality and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land. I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected."

Zimmerman also apologized to his fans, stating, "To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me." He acknowledged the responsibilities that come with being a musician and admitted to falling short. Zimmerman indicated he was taking the legal matter seriously and was committed to learning and growing from the experience.

Zimmerman, known for hits like "Rock and a Hard Place" and "Where It Ends," broke out in 2021 via TikTok and released his debut studio album, "Religiously. The Album.," in May 2023.
