Ariana Grande has announced her intention to step back from public-facing work and appearances following the conclusion of her "Eternal Sunshine" tour.

The singer, 33, stated that after the tour wraps in London on September 1, she will take a break. This decision comes amid ongoing public concern regarding her appearance.

Grande shared a clip from a previous performance with the caption "see you tonight Chicago," indicating she will fulfill her remaining scheduled shows. She is set to perform three nights in Chicago before embarking on a 10-night residency at London's O2 arena from August 15 to September 1.

In addition to her tour, Grande has withdrawn from her upcoming West End role in "Sunday in the Park with George," where she was slated to co-star with Jonathan Bailey. A spokesperson for Grande confirmed the hiatus, stating she looks forward to finishing the tour on a "high note, both healthily and happily," before taking "a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny."

The producers of "Sunday in the Park with George," Empire Street Productions, issued a statement acknowledging Grande's decision with understanding and support, adding that the production will proceed with casting announcements for its planned summer 2027 opening.

Grande's appearance has been a subject of public discussion in recent months, particularly after the release of her music video for "Petal." Despite her public assertions of being healthy, some fans have expressed concern over her slim physique. Actress Jameela Jamil commented online about the singer's appearance, raising concerns about the image being presented to young fans.
