Critics have praised Grande's live performances, with Boston.com noting her "remarkable vocals" and a blend of career-spanning hits, polished choreography, and cinematic staging. Her voice was highlighted as the standout element, with effortless navigation of intricate riffs and sustained belts.
These Chicago dates follow the July 31 release of Grande's eighth studio album, "Petal." The lead single from the album is "hate that I made you love me."
Grande's seventh studio album, "Eternal Sunshine," was released on March 8, 2024. Inspired by her divorce and past relationships, the album features 13 tracks that move between melancholic themes and upbeat, radio-friendly anthems. The song "we can’t be friends" is noted as a peak of the album, balancing empowerment with nonchalance.
In addition to her tour, Grande is slated to appear in the upcoming installment of the "Meet The Parents" franchise, playing the fiancée of Ben Stiller's character. The comedy is expected to be released in Thanksgiving 2026.
The "Eternal Sunshine Tour" has featured a setlist drawing from Grande's discography, including songs like "yes, and?," "positions," "eternal sunshine," "just like magic," "thank u, next," "7 rings," "One Last Time," "Rain on Me" (a Lady Gaga cover), "Break Free," "Dangerous Woman," "Honeymoon Avenue," "Into You," and "we can’t be friends (wait for your love)."
