Ariana Grande has debuted a new tattoo that appears to be a tribute to her rekindled romance with boyfriend Ricky Alvarez. The ink, a phrase on her collarbone, was visible during her performance at London's O2 arena on Saturday.
Grande, 33, wore a low-cut outfit that revealed the tattoo, which reads "I do love you." Alvarez also appears to have a matching tattoo, though his is reportedly in a larger, more heavily shaded font. He previously shared a selfie in July 2025 that showed what looked like the same phrase inked beside his collarbone.
The matching tattoos surfaced shortly after Grande made her relationship with Alvarez Instagram official earlier this week. She shared a series of photos, including mirror selfies of the couple embracing and a close-up of the phrase "I do love you" written in blue marker in her journal.
Grande and Alvarez, a former backup dancer, dated from 2015 to 2016. Earlier this summer, Grande began hinting at a reconciliation by altering lyrics in her past songs during her concerts. Her previous public relationships include a three-year romance with "Wicked" co-star Ethan Slater, which reportedly ended earlier this year, and a two-year marriage to Dalton Gomez, 31, which concluded in early 2023.
Tour and Hiatus Plans
Grande's London concert marked the beginning of her 10-day residency at the O2 as part of her Eternal Sunshine Tour. During the show, she expressed feeling overwhelmed by the audience's energy, calling it the loudest she had experienced. She also noted that London is a favorite stop and that she intends to "savor every single second" of the remaining shows.
Her Eternal Sunshine Tour is scheduled to conclude on September 1. Following the tour, Grande plans to take a hiatus from the spotlight. This decision comes after a period of intense scrutiny and fan concern regarding her appearance, particularly following the release of her music video for "Petal." Grande has stated that "human beings need a break sometimes" and has announced her intention to "set boundaries."
Prior to her London dates, Grande reportedly spent time with Alvarez in the Oxfordshire countryside, staying at the private members' club Soho Farmhouse. The couple is said to have traveled from New York to London on a commercial flight before heading for their countryside retreat. This break followed reports that Grande had been struggling with "ongoing scrutiny" over her health and appearance. Her inner circle has reportedly urged her to take a break from her career, which has been demanding for the past five years due to filming "Wicked" parts one and two, promoting the films, shooting "Focker-in-Law," and releasing two albums, "Eternal Sunshine" and "Petal," before embarking on her current tour. The planned hiatus also entails her withdrawal from a West End revival of "Sunday in the Park with George."
