Ariana Grande has reportedly rekindled her relationship with former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, according to multiple reports. The couple are said to be "taking things slow" as they navigate their renewed connection.

Sources close to Grande told People that she is "happy to have him back in her life" and that "he has such great, positive energy, makes her laugh, and she enjoys spending time with him." The pair have been seen together in recent weeks, including at a Fourth of July celebration with Grande's family.

Grande appeared to hint at the reconciliation during her Eternal Sunshine tour. During a performance of her hit song "Thank U, Next," she altered the lyrics. Originally, the song includes the line, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh." During a recent concert in Brooklyn, Grande changed it to, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back." Earlier in June, during a Texas show, she sang, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / I know he's still got my back."

Alvarez and Grande first met in 2015 when he worked as a backup dancer on her Honeymoon tour. They confirmed their relationship in 2016 but reportedly split about a year later.

This reported reunion follows Grande's split from actor Ethan Slater. A source told Daily Mail last month that Grande and Slater ended their relationship "after a significant amount of consideration and lengthy deliberation," describing the breakup as amicable.

Grande and Slater, who co-starred in the 2024 film "Wicked" and its upcoming sequel, reportedly began their romance after separating from their respective partners. Grande had separated from her husband, Dalton Gomez, in January 2023, with their split reported in July 2023. Slater had also recently separated from his wife, clinical psychologist Lilly Jay, with whom he welcomed a son in August 2022. Sources indicated at the time that Grande and Slater did not begin dating until after both had separated from their spouses.

Grande has been focusing on her Eternal Sunshine tour, which began in Oakland, California, in June and is scheduled to conclude in London in September. She has also been working on her upcoming studio album, "Petal," set for release on July 31.
