Singer Ariana Grande announced Monday that she is dealing with a foot injury, requiring her to adjust her performance style for the final two shows of her London residency at the O2 Arena.

Grande, 33, revealed on Instagram that she sustained a "deep cut" and will be wearing "cozy footwear" instead of her signature heels for the performances. Fans had previously expressed concern after noticing her limping on stage during recent shows.

"My sweet petals, I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this evenings show (and possibly tomorrow's) as I am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury," Grande wrote. She clarified that the injury is not a sprain or muscular issue but a "deep cut," and that while she may have trouble putting weight on her foot, she is "on the mend."

She added that she anticipates being "a few inches shorter than usual" but looks forward to performing for her audience.

Earlier in August, Grande addressed reports about a planned career break, stating that it was decided a long time ago and was not a reaction to negativity. She explained that taking breaks is a human need and that multiple things can be true simultaneously.

"Yes, boundaries, they need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes," she said, clarifying that the decision was made from an "empowered place." Grande emphasized that the tour has been a positive and healing experience for her.

In related news, Grande has withdrawn from her scheduled role in the 2027 London production of "Sunday In The Park with George" at the Barbican Centre. Producers confirmed her decision, stating they understood it could not have been easy, and that the production will proceed with casting to be announced later.
