Ariana Grande revealed on Monday that she is dealing with a foot injury, prompting a change in her performance attire for the final two shows of her London residency at the O2 Arena.

Fans had expressed concern after noticing the singer limping on stage during recent performances. Grande, 33, addressed the situation on Instagram, explaining that she had sustained a "deep cut" and would be opting for "cozy footwear" instead of her signature heels to avoid putting weight on the injured foot. She reassured fans that the injury is not muscular or a sprain but a "minor injury."

"When you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why!" Grande wrote on Instagram. "But please do not fret. On with the show and I am on the mend. I cannot wait to perform for you tonight and tomorrow (even if I am a few inches shorter than usual)."

Grande also clarified recent discussions about her planned career break, which follows the conclusion of her "Eternal Sunshine" tour. She stated that the hiatus was "quietly planned a long time ago" and was not a reaction to negativity. She emphasized that multiple things can be true simultaneously, including the need for boundaries and breaks, while also cherishing the tour as a positive professional experience.

"This is not what that is," she said, referring to the idea that negativity was causing her to step back. "And I just want to be very, very clear: Multiple things can be true at the same time. Yes, boundaries, they need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes."

Separately, Grande has withdrawn from her scheduled role in the London production of "Sunday in the Park with George" at the Barbican Centre in the summer of 2027. Producers confirmed her decision, stating they understood it could not have been easy. The production is expected to proceed as planned with casting to be announced later.
