Apple Martin, 22, the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, is embarking on her acting career with a role in the forthcoming romantic comedy "Paris Paramount." Martin was recently observed running errands in Los Angeles, sporting a white sundress, brown shoes, and sunglasses.
"Paris Paramount" centers on a young filmmaker who develops a relationship with a producer. The plot thickens as they part ways, only to be compelled to collaborate again on a significant project featuring difficult stars. The film is being directed by Nancy Meyers, known for directing hits such as "The Parent Trap" and "Something's Gotta Give."
The ensemble cast for "Paris Paramount" includes Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Erin Doherty, Jude Law, Tony Hale, and Beverly D'Angelo. Martin was seen filming in Los Angeles last month alongside Owen Wilson, who previously worked with Paltrow in "The Royal Tenenbaums" approximately 25 years ago.
Apple Martin, who is the granddaughter of actress Blythe Danner, appeared to be enjoying herself on set, smiling and interacting with the crew. This career move follows her exploration of modeling for brands like Gap and Chloé and a brief period pursuing music. Earlier this year, Martin confirmed her shift in focus towards acting, making a cameo appearance in the HBO show "Rooster."
In a February interview with Vogue, Martin, who earned a degree in law, history, and society from Vanderbilt University, expressed her desire to follow in her mother's acting footsteps. She indicated a departure from a past phase of resisting familial career paths, stating, "I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying."
Paltrow and Chris Martin, who were married in 2003, announced their separation in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016. They have maintained a close co-parenting relationship with their children, Apple and their son Moses, who is 20 years old.
