Anya Taylor-Joy, acclaimed for her Golden Globe-winning role in "The Queen's Gambit," is set to star in the new Apple TV+ original miniseries "Lucky," which premieres on July 15.

Taylor-Joy also serves as an executive producer on the project, which is based on Marissa Stapley's 2021 novel of the same name. The series was developed by Jonathan Tropper, known for "Your Friends and Neighbors," and produced by Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine.

"Lucky" centers on the titular character, portrayed by Taylor-Joy, a skilled grifter attempting to leave her criminal past behind. According to Apple TV+'s synopsis, Lucky "must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past."

The cast also features Annette Bening as a mob boss and Timothy Olyphant as Lucky's father. Other cast members include Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr., Mo McRae, William Fichtner, Eric Lange, and Joey Graziadei.

"Lucky" will debut with two episodes on July 15. While Apple TV+ has not confirmed an official release time, new episodes of original series are often available at 9:00 p.m. ET the night before their listed premiere date.

The series is exclusively available on Apple TV+. New users can take advantage of a seven-day free trial, allowing for two weeks of viewing before a subscription fee of $12.99 per month begins. Amazon Prime members can also subscribe to Apple TV+ through Prime Video for the same price, including the free trial period, and stream content within the Prime Video app.

The ten-episode miniseries "Lucky" is scheduled to release episodes weekly on Wednesdays, with the first two episodes dropping on July 15. Subsequent episodes will be released on July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12, and August 19.
