Anya Taylor-Joy is featured in an ethereal V Magazine photoshoot, showcasing looks crafted entirely from paper. Photographer Nick Knight captured the actress in ensembles of white and light blue, styled by Anna Trevelyan.
One featured outfit included a ruffled top and skirt made of paper, highlighting Taylor-Joy's midriff. Another ensemble consisted of a light blue dress with a prominent collar and a matching, oversized headpiece. The magazine's feature includes an interview with Miley Cyrus, a close friend of Taylor-Joy's.
During the interview, Taylor-Joy spoke about her connection to the characters she portrays, stating, "It feels like less of a choice, more of an instinct. My body figures it out before I do. I start sitting differently, speaking the words aloud in a new voice. I believe every character has things to teach you."
In a July interview, Taylor-Joy offered insights into her marriage to musician Malcolm McRae. They married in April 2022 in New Orleans. "I don't want to sound smug, but I love him so much. To have a best friend who goes through life with you – it has given me a sense of security that I didn't really ever dream about," she shared. She added that the security from their relationship emboldens her to take more risks.
McRae is the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for the band SRCHR and has had minor acting roles, including an appearance in Taylor-Joy's Apple TV series "Lucky."
"Lucky" follows Taylor-Joy as a con artist on the run after a heist goes awry. She also served as a co-producer for the series. Reflecting on her producing role, she stated, "I learnt that being a leader is about being unflappable. It's not your job to freak out, it's your job to find solutions and soothe everybody else."
Taylor-Joy also recalled her parents' advice: her father's motto that "the harder I work, the luckier I'll get," and her mother's encouragement to "be myself."
