Anthony Michael Hall is finding profound fulfillment in his roles as a husband and father, describing his wife, Lucia Oskerova, as his "soulmate." The actor, who became a father for the first time at age 55 in June 2023, shared his joy in a recent interview.
"Fatherhood and being a husband—that’s absolutely the greatest role," Hall, 58, told People. "It’s a full-time job… but we love it. We just embrace it, and our son such a joy."
He and Oskerova welcomed their son, Michael Anthony Hall II, on June 1, 2023. Hall recounted the initial intensity of new parenthood, noting, "That first month of parenting is pretty wild. It’s the craziest time, but it’s the best time."
Despite the sleep deprivation, Hall expressed his contentment. "I couldn’t be happier [now]," he gushed. "Here I am at 55, and I’m fully committed. I’m excited. My wife and I are really into parenting and diving in."
The couple began their relationship in 2016 and married in 2020. Their wedding plans were impacted by the pandemic, leading them to renew their vows in 2023. Oskerova's pregnancy was announced in February 2023, when she was nearly seven months along. Hall documented her pregnancy on Instagram, expressing pride in his wife, a former model.
Hall, known for his roles in iconic 1980s films, has been focused on his family life. He mentioned that their son has started preschool and is thriving, jokingly noting the child's size. "This kid is like a little giant. He looks like he’s 5 years old already. But we’re having a great time. It’s incredible," Hall said.
