Ant McPartlin experienced a fan-created tattoo in the latest episode of his podcast, with his presenting partner Declan Donnelly overseeing the process. The duo had previously invited listeners to submit designs for McPartlin to have inked.
During the podcast recording, McPartlin revealed he had arranged for a tattoo artist to visit his home for the inking. However, Donnelly disclosed he had gained access to the house without McPartlin's prior knowledge and intended to contribute to the tattoo's final design. The chosen design pays tribute to their shared origins in Newcastle, featuring the Angel of the North statue.
As Donnelly began applying the tattoo, McPartlin expressed alarm. Donnelly later confessed he was wearing the wrong glasses during the application, suggesting it was fortunate the procedure went smoothly. He stated, "I certainly did leave my mark!"
McPartlin then unveiled the finished tattoo, which depicted the Angel statue surrounded by a star. He pointed out a small addition made by Donnelly: his initials. McPartlin remarked to his friend, "Your bit was the most painful by the way!"
Looking ahead, McPartlin indicated that a more relaxed celebration might be in order for the podcast's upcoming one-year anniversary, mentioning the possibility of a "lovely facial."
In related personal news, McPartlin recently marked his five-year wedding anniversary with his wife, Anne-Marie. He shared a photograph on Instagram from their wedding day, which took place at Heckfield Place in Hampshire. McPartlin was previously married to Lisa Armstrong, with whom he divorced in 2020 after more than two decades together. He married Anne-Marie in August 2021, with Donnelly serving as best man. The couple have a son, Wilder, and are parents to Anne-Marie's teenage daughters, Poppy and Daisy.
