Anne Hathaway has unveiled a striking new pixie cut for the September issue of Vogue China, marking her shortest hairstyle in over a decade. The look is a significant departure from the longer styles she has maintained for the past ten years.

Styled by Orlando Pita, Hathaway's hair is presented in various ways across the photoshoot. Some images feature a wild, spiky texture, while others show it sleek and straight, resembling a mini bowl cut. On the cover, the 43-year-old actress wears a white Louis Vuitton blazer adorned with black trim. She is also pictured wearing a Bulgari choker, a piece previously seen on Céline Dion.

While the exact date of the cover shoot is unconfirmed, recent references in the accompanying interview, such as the announcement of Hathaway's third pregnancy in June, suggest the conversation took place relatively recently. This new hairstyle strongly evokes memories of her appearance in 2012, when she cut her hair short for her critically acclaimed role as Fantine in the film "Les Misérables."

By the 2013 Academy Awards, Hathaway's hair had grown into a pixie style that she maintained for approximately another year. She has also experimented with hair color, notably adopting a honey blonde shade for the 2019 film "Serenity." At the time, she described the color change as a shift in attitude, telling W magazine, "I felt funnier!" She added, "I don’t know why, but I just felt that I could be funnier while saying less. I know that doesn’t make any sense, but it was just — it’s nice. And it also made me want to do it more in life, like, just mess around with [my hair] and not get too fixed on anything."
