Pregnant actress Anne Hathaway showcased her baby bump at the world premiere of "The Odyssey" on Monday night. Hathaway, who announced her third pregnancy in late June, stars as Penelope in the film, opposite Matt Damon's Odysseus.
The star, 43, wore a strapless blue chiffon gown to the event, accessorizing with a bright red lip. She is already a mother to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, six, with her husband Adam Shulman, 45.
Hathaway's role in "The Odyssey" marks her return to a prominent film role, joining a star-studded cast that includes Zendaya, Tom Holland, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, and Travis Scott. The film, directed by Christopher Nolan, is an adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic.
Nolan's project is described as his "most extreme project to date," with a reported $250 million budget, making it his most expensive film to date. It is also the first film shot entirely on IMAX 70mm cameras.
Hathaway also spoke about the inspiration for another of her upcoming projects, "Mother Mary," revealing that Taylor Swift influenced her portrayal of the titular pop star. "She was kind of like an angel that I felt like was over our heads all the time," Hathaway said of Swift, adding that she was influenced by Swift's vulnerability in her tour film "Miss Americana."
Hathaway has multiple films scheduled for release this year, including "Mother Mary," "Verity," "The Odyssey," and "The End of Oak Street."
