Anne Hathaway, 43, has responded to online speculation that her current pregnancy is not genuine, a day after a maternity outfit she wore to a film premiere drew criticism. Hathaway took to Instagram to address the rumors with a playful caption.

"Fake hair, real bump. Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!" Hathaway wrote alongside a video montage. The footage showed her glam squad attending to her, including a stylist securing a hairpiece, as she noted, "It's not my hair."

The actress attended the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film, "The End of Oak Street," over the weekend. Earlier this summer, she announced that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child. During the premiere, she wore a midriff-baring outfit that subsequently sparked widespread discussion on platforms like TikTok, with some users questioning the appearance of her baby bump.

Commenters on social media debated whether her bump looked "fake," with some suggesting it was prosthetic. Others defended Hathaway, attributing the appearance to her already fit physique and continued commitment to exercise.

Hathaway had previously faced scrutiny for a different maternity look at the premiere: a custom Prabal Gurung halter top paired with low-rise jeans, which some online critics described as "ridiculous."

Hathaway announced her pregnancy in July, describing the experience as a "buzzer beater" and expressing gratitude for a successful pregnancy in her 40s. She and Shulman, who married in 2012, are already parents to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, six.
