Angela Bishop posted new photos and a short video to Instagram showing a notably youthful complexion as she prepared to guest on Channel Ten's The Cheap Seats.

The 58-year-old entertainment editor for 10 News First shared the images on Tuesday and joked in the caption that she had been called up to cover for a colleague, writing, "Mel is hosting tonight, so her understudy has got the call up." She appeared in promotional shots wearing a smart suit with her hair styled in a voluminous blonde coiffure, and several television colleagues left complimentary comments.

Fellow Channel Ten personality Julia Morris commented on the post, calling Bishop "the very essence of style and grace," while Barry Du Bois of The Living Room added, "So good." The Instagram share follows months in which Bishop has made several red carpet appearances, drawing attention to a slimmer frame.

Bishop has previously discussed weight loss and the lifestyle changes that contributed to it. In 2020, she told viewers she had given up a habit of drinking two to three sugar-free energy drinks a day. She said the change, rather than increased gym time, helped her lose about two kilograms in three and a half weeks and that she experienced painful withdrawal headaches before feeling better.

After Studio 10, the morning program on which Bishop built much of her profile, was axed in November 2023, Channel Ten retained several of its presenters and reassigned them to new roles. Bishop, along with former Studio 10 hosts Narelda Jacobs and Tristan MacManus, remained with the network. She now serves as 10 News First's entertainment editor, a role that includes conducting red carpet interviews and reporting on entertainment stories for the network.

The Instagram post and accompanying short video were shared as Bishop prepared to appear on The Cheap Seats as a guest, stepping in for Mel Tracina. The appearance continues Bishop's visibility on Channel Ten programming since the reshuffle following Studio 10's cancellation.

Bishop has been a familiar face in Australian entertainment journalism for more than a decade. Her social media posts and on-air appearances have highlighted both her professional work and personal health choices, which she has sometimes discussed publicly. Channel Ten did not immediately provide additional comment on the Instagram post.

The images drew attention from viewers and colleagues alike, underscoring Bishop's continued role as a presence in Australian entertainment coverage and on-screen reporting.
