Andy Whyment, a long-standing cast member of Coronation Street, recently welcomed his 15-year-old daughter, Hollie, onto the set for a work experience placement. Hollie, who is no stranger to the spotlight due to her father's prominent role, was observed engaging in activities on the Weatherfield General Hospital set and visiting her father in his dressing room.
The father-daughter pair were photographed smiling together in front of the Coronation Street sign. Whyment, who has been a part of the ITV soap for over two decades playing the character Kirk Sutherland, appeared pleased to have his daughter join him at the Trafford Wharf Studios.
Whyment joined the Coronation Street cast in 2000, and his character Kirk Sutherland has become a recognizable figure. Sutherland works at the Underworld factory and was previously married to Beth Tinker before her departure from the show in 2024.
Hollie and her father explored various areas of the studio, including the wardrobe department and the Rovers Return Inn. Images captured the pair on set, with Hollie also seen in the makeup chair assisting her father.
Andy Whyment married Nicola in 2007, and they have two children: Thomas, 17, and Hollie, 15. The couple recently celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary.
In related news, Whyment's Coronation Street co-star Tanisha Gorey recently announced her engagement to long-term partner Lucas Whelan. Gorey, who plays Asha Alahan, shared the news on Instagram, showcasing her engagement ring after accepting a proposal that appeared to take place during a holiday.
Coronation Street cast members, including Andy Whyment, Ellie Leach, and Sally Dynevor, congratulated Gorey on her engagement.
