Andy Cohen became visibly emotional on Thursday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live" as he announced the death of Kyra Samson, a 28-year-old former production manager for Bravo. Cohen shared that Samson passed away earlier in the week following a battle with brain cancer.
"I have some devastating news to share from our Watch What Happens Live family and this is hard for me to get through," Cohen stated, his voice trembling. "On Tuesday night, our beloved former production manager Kyra Samson passed away from brain cancer. She was only 28."
Cohen, 58, reflected on his four years working with Samson, remembering her for her "sweet smile and gentle demeanor." He also noted her capable presence, recalling how she would manage crowds at BravoCon. "She could also be a small, but mighty enforcer," he said.
He added, "She's going to be terribly missed by all of us here and no doubt by everyone who was lucky enough to know her."
Cohen also highlighted The Kyra Fund, an initiative established to honor Samson's legacy. The fund aims to support research for glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer, and provide assistance to others facing the disease.
"We are sending all of our prayers and love to her family and her friends. So, we love you Kyra," Cohen concluded, his voice cracking. A photograph of Cohen and Samson appeared on screen following his announcement.
