Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh announced she is expecting her second child in a family Instagram video shared on Tuesday, posting a sonogram image accompanied by the caption: "Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026."

The 38-year-old, who plays Tracy Metcalfe on the ITV soap, posted a short clip showing herself, husband Toby-Alexander Smith and their daughter Bonnie removing their hands from a frame to reveal a baby scan. The audio on the clip captures Walsh telling Bonnie that she will soon have a little brother or sister.

Walsh and Smith are already parents to daughter Bonnie-Mae, born in December 2021. The couple met after sitting together in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 and began their relationship the following year. They became engaged in Ibiza in August 2022 and married in 2023 at Talici Hill Rustic Villa in Montenegro.

In interviews following their wedding, Walsh said the day surpassed her expectations and described feeling "surprisingly present" throughout the ceremony. She has previously spoken about personal keepsakes and gifts for the wedding: her sister, Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, lent a pair of Chanel earrings as the "something borrowed" and also gave her a ring inherited from their grandmother, which Walsh said helped her feel her grandparents were with her on the day. Emmerdale colleagues attended the nuptials, including Natalie Ann Jamieson, Olivia Bromley and Louisa Clein.

Smith, 34, is a former EastEnders actor known for portraying Gray Atkins. He departed the soap earlier in 2024. Walsh has been open about her fertility history; she was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries in her early 20s and previously said she feared she might be unable to conceive before the birth of Bonnie-Mae.

Walsh has played Tracy Metcalfe on Emmerdale since 2013 and is the younger sister of Kimberley Walsh. The couple have not disclosed a due date or the sex of the baby. Their Instagram announcement did not include further details about timing or any public plans related to Walsh’s work on Emmerdale.

The post has been shared with fans and followers on social media; the only explicit detail provided by the family so far is the expected year of arrival, 2026. Media representatives for Walsh and Smith did not immediately respond to requests for additional comment.

As a public figure on a continuing television series, Walsh’s pregnancy announcement may raise questions about filming schedules and storyline planning for Emmerdale; producers commonly coordinate with actors and their representatives on such matters, though the soap has not made an official statement regarding any production changes tied to the announcement.
