Amy Slaton, known for her role in the TLC series "1,000-Lb Sisters," is launching a music career, coinciding with her reported 200-pound weight loss. Her first solo song, an AI-generated track titled "Pounds Hollow," is scheduled for release on August 26.

Slaton, 38, shared a teaser clip on Instagram, offering a glimpse of her slimmer figure and snippets of the upbeat country song. The teaser also included a comment from her brother, Chris Combs, from an upcoming episode of "1,000-Lb Sisters," premiering September 1. "If you use AI to do anything, you didn't do it," Combs stated in the clip.

Slaton stated that the song's creation process, from initial idea to music and filming, was a significant personal journey. She noted that the development of "Pounds Hollow" will be featured in the new season of "1,000-Lb Sisters." "Y'all are gonna get to see the process, the work, the laughs, the nerves, and everything that went into making this dream a reality," Slaton said.

She described the experience as "something I'll never forget" and an effort to "step outside my comfort zone." Slaton explained that the song originated during a difficult period in her life, serving as a personal anthem. She expressed excitement for fans to hear the finished product, which she said comes from her "country roots" and personal memories.

In addition to her musical aspirations, Slaton has been focusing on her weight loss. She has lost approximately 200 pounds, having previously weighed over 400 pounds before undergoing bariatric surgery in 2019. By 2023, her weight was reported to be around 230 pounds. Her sister, Tammy Slaton, also underwent the same surgery in 2022 and has lost a significant amount of weight.

Slaton has spoken about the challenges of her weight loss journey, including dealing with excess skin that impacts physical activities. In a July teaser for the upcoming season of "1,000-Lb Sisters," she revealed plans for skin removal surgery.

Slaton is a mother to two children, Gage and Glenn, from her previous marriage. She later married Brian Lovvorn on Halloween. The reality show "1,000-Lb Sisters" documents the weight loss journeys of Amy and Tammy Slaton, detailing their struggles with food and health since childhood. Slaton has previously shared that she and her sister were bullied in school, which contributed to her emotional eating habits.
