Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski Divorce After Nine Years of Marriage
The couple announced their separation, stating it has been 'the right move' for their family.
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have announced their divorce after nine years of marriage. The couple confirmed their split in a joint statement to People, revealing that they have been separated for some time and that the divorce is the appropriate decision for their family unit.
"We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD," Seyfried and Sadoski said in their statement.
Seyfried and Sadoski first met in 2015 while performing in the Off-Broadway play "The Way We Get By." They reconnected on the set of the film "The Last Word," began dating in 2016, and eloped in March 2017, shortly before the birth of their first child, daughter Nina. Their son, Thomas Jr., was born in September 2020.
In a January interview with Vogue, Seyfried commented on her marriage, noting that Sadoski "sacrifices a lot" for her career.
"He also knows that, in this moment, the opportunities I’m being afforded are insane… I do say no a lot," Seyfried told the publication.
Seyfried and Sadoski lived with their children on a farm in upstate New York, and the actress occasionally shared glimpses of their life on social media, often featuring their farm animals and pets.
