Amanda Holden doused her co-host Jamie Theakston with a bucket of ice-cold water on Thursday as Britain grappled with a record-breaking heatwave. Temperatures soared above 34C (93.2F) across the UK, prompting the on-air stunt to provide a moment of relief.

During a competition on Heart Radio Breakfast, Theakston was presented with four buckets. Three contained heart-shaped confetti, while one held ice water. After avoiding the ice bucket twice, he was drenched on the third attempt by Holden. Video shared on Instagram showed Holden appearing to enjoy the moment as she splashed her co-host before cheering.

In a separate segment, Holden was noted for her fashion choices amidst the heat, opting for a long blue dress and white heels. Co-presenter Ashley Roberts also garnered attention for her attire, arriving in a zebra print co-ord with white heels, stylish shades, and a crossbody black bag.

Earlier in the week, both Holden and Roberts showed support for the England football team. Holden, 55, wore the official 2026 Nike kit, adding white stilettos. Roberts, 44, sported the US kit with white Louboutin heels, later changing into an England shirt. Theakston marked the occasion by dressing as an England goalkeeper, referencing his past participation in Soccer Aid. The radio station Heart shared the football-themed photos on Instagram with the caption "It's coming home!"
