Thomas 'TJ' Earle, father of influencer Alix Earle, disclosed that he paid for half of his daughter's breast augmentation surgery in January 2022, framing it as an "investment" in her future. The revelation was made during an episode of their new Netflix reality series, "Earle Meets World."
TJ Earle explained that he and his daughter discussed the procedure around Christmas time, leading him to offer to pay for one breast implant as a holiday gift. He described the present in a confessional segment, saying, "For Christmas - which I’m sure sounds a little weird - but in a box, I put two oranges. I think I wrote on one, 'You pay for this boob, I’ll pay for this boob.' And I gave it to her for Christmas and I paid for a boob."
During a family dinner featured on the show, Alix's sister, Ashtin, commented that her popularity "blew up" after the surgery, calling it an "investment in [her] future," to which her father agreed.
Alix Earle has previously been open about her breast augmentation. In a TikTok video posted a year after her surgery, she shared that each implant contains 275 ccs of saline and that the incisions were made through her armpit. She mentioned on her now-deleted podcast in January 2024 that she had been interested in breast growth since she was young, even taking gummy bears notwithstanding.
According to the report, Alix's parents were initially hesitant about the procedure, which prompted her to cover a significant portion of the cost herself. She has stated that she does not regret the decision.
