Alex Reid, ex-husband of Katie Price, is set to discuss his marriage to the television personality in a one-night-only VIP show. The former MMA fighter, 50, plans to "tell his truth" during the event, which will cover topics from their marriage and Celebrity Big Brother appearances to fatherhood and relationships.
Reid and Price were married in Las Vegas in February 2010 and divorced two years later. Tickets for the show, priced at £43, are scheduled for next month in Aldershot, Hampshire. Reid has advertised the event as "my most honest live event yet. We’ll talk about everything. No script. No filters. No subjects off limits."
Reid's marriage to Price was contentious. They wed seven months after Price divorced Peter Andre and nine months after their own tumultuous relationship began. Their divorce was finalized in March 2012, with Price later stating she married Reid too soon. A significant factor in their split, according to Price, was Reid's cross-dressing alter-ego, Roxanne. Reid, in turn, alleged that Price "forced" him to reveal his cross-dressing, which he had participated in at the 2009 launch of her book.
Their separation led to a public dispute, with Price reportedly ordered by a judge in 2019 to pay Reid £140,000 in legal fees after allegedly showing sex tape footage of him. She also received a five-year injunction preventing her from sharing private information about their relationship.
Reid's past relationship with Price was featured in her documentary "Katie Price: Nothing To Hide," where he appeared alongside her other former partners, Gareth Gates and Dane Bowers. In the documentary, Reid stated, "She emasculates me."
Despite their past conflicts, Reid has recently commented on Price's current marriage to Lee Andrews, expressing concern for her well-being. The documentary also included an appearance by Gary Bolingbroke, Price's first boyfriend, who had ended their relationship over thirty years prior when she was 17.
Price herself acknowledges past mistakes in the documentary trailer, stating, "I know I've made mistakes. It's very hard to explain me but I've got nothing to hide. I am what I am."
