Executive producer Alex Cooper issued a specific directive to Harry Jowsey during the filming of Netflix's new dating series, "Let's Marry Harry": stop kissing all the contestants. Jowsey, 29, shared this detail in an exclusive interview with Page Six Radio, recounting a moment on set where producers felt he was becoming "a bit active."
"Alex said [to] stop kissing all the girls," Jowsey recalled. "I was getting a bit active. They needed to rein me in."
"Let's Marry Harry," which premiered its first seven episodes this week, follows Jowsey's pursuit of love among 20 women competing for his hand in marriage over five weeks. Cooper, along with Jowsey's friends, serves as a guide throughout the process. Jowsey admitted that living in the same house as the contestants from the outset was an "overwhelming" experience, with the constant attention from women vying for his attention proving to be a lot.
This is not Jowsey's first foray into reality television dating shows. He previously appeared on New Zealand's "Heartbreak Island" in 2018, Netflix's "Too Hot to Handle" in 2020, MTV's "Match Me If You Can" in 2021, and Netflix's "Perfect Match" in 2024. Jowsey stated that Netflix approached him directly about "Let's Marry Harry," with the initial conversation centering on the concept of marriage before solidifying the details.
Jowsey, who hosts the "Boyfriend Material" podcast, addressed his past reputation, often labeled as an "F-boy." He explained that during his early days in reality TV in his early 20s, he was "playing a bigger character" and seeking more screen time. However, he asserts that this behavior is now in the past, stating, "That was four years ago. I guess I hadn’t done anything to redeem myself since. I’ve done the work in private time, in private life."
The finale episode of "Let's Marry Harry" is scheduled to air on Aug. 12 on Netflix.
