Prime Video's action series "Reacher," starring Alan Ritchson, will return for its fourth season on Wednesday, August 12, at 3:01 a.m. ET. The upcoming season is based on the thirteenth book in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series, titled "Gone Tomorrow."
Season 4 will consist of eight episodes, with the first three episodes dropping on the premiere date. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, culminating in the season finale on September 16. This finale date coincides with the premiere of all eight episodes of the "Reacher" spinoff, "Neagley."
The new season's plot begins with Reacher encountering a distraught stranger on a subway, an event that escalates into a "complex and deadly game" against powerful adversaries. The season introduces several new cast members, including Sydelle Noel, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, Agnez Mo, Kevin Corrigan, Kathleen Robertson, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, and Anggun.
Christopher Marquette takes on the role of Jacob Merrick, replacing Jay Baruchel who departed the series due to a personal matter. Notably, Baruchel has been cast for the upcoming fifth season of "Reacher."
"Reacher" is exclusively available for streaming on Prime Video. New subscribers can access the service through a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, which includes Prime Video and other Prime benefits. Following the trial period, Amazon Prime is priced at $14.99 per month or $139 per year. A discounted membership is also available for individuals aged 18-24 through Prime for Young Adults, offering a 50% monthly discount after a six-month free trial for up to six years.
In addition to Season 4, "Reacher" has already been renewed for a fifth season.
