Alabama Barker, the 19-year-old daughter of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, drew attention on Thursday after posting a series of racy Instagram photos that prompted some followers to call her a "baddie."
In the images, Barker posed in a long-sleeve, form-fitting Shane Justin bodysuit, flashed a ring on her left ring finger and wore platform stiletto heels while posing on a Harley-Davidson three-wheeler and striding down a hallway at her father's home. Some commenters praised the look, while others questioned her choice of outfit and noted past controversies surrounding the teenager.
Barker, who has been pursuing music, has recently drawn online attention for multiple fashion-forward and revealing looks. Nearly two weeks earlier she attended the first University of Southern California football game of the season in a cut-up jersey outfit that prompted mixed reactions from onlookers.
She is the daughter of Barker, 49, and former Playboy model Shanna Moakler, 50, and is a stepchild of reality star Kourtney Kardashian. Barker is one of several children in the blended family: she has two half-siblings, Landon, 21, and Rocky, about 18 months, and a stepsister, Atiana De La Hoya, 26.
Alabama has also been involved in a public dispute with rapper Danielle Bregoli, known professionally as Bhad Bhabie. In February, Bhad Bhabie released a track titled "Ms. Whitman" that referenced Alabama, the Kardashians and Travis Barker. The song's title alludes to the 1993 film True Romance and the character Alabama Whitman; the track's intro included a sample of Kanye West's song "Carnival," the Daily Mail reported.
The feud began after Bhad Bhabie accused her then-boyfriend and father of her child, Le Vaughn, of allegedly cheating with Alabama. The dispute escalated into diss tracks and online exchanges earlier this year. Alabama briefly posted an Instagram Story suggesting she might retaliate with her own rap, but she did not release a follow-up track.
A DailyMail.com report in April quoted a source saying Kourtney Kardashian suggested crisis public relations measures for Barker and that she and Travis had advised her to "cool it down" and avoid further entanglement with Bhad Bhabie. The source told the outlet the parents did not want to "pour gasoline on a fire" and had urged Alabama to refrain from escalating the feud.
Barker continues to maintain a public presence on social media, where posts about her fashion choices, family life and musical aspirations draw frequent attention and mixed commentary from followers.
