Rising actress Ella Rubin, 24, has captured significant online attention for her role in the Amazon Prime Original drama "Sterling Point," which premiered earlier this month. Social media users are drawing comparisons between Rubin and actresses such as Julia Roberts, Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, and Winona Ryder, with some dubbing her a modern-day Helen of Troy.

Fans on X, formerly Twitter, have expressed admiration for Rubin's appearance, with one user writing, "Imagine this: you’re the lead of Prime Video #1 show, everyone is praising your talent and comparing your face to the most beautiful women in the world including Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Rachel Weisz, Winona Ryder…" Another fan commented on her features, stating, "With her hazel doe eyes, shiny dark hair, and a wide grin, one fan gushed on X: 'Ella Rubin looks like she’s straight out of a renaissance painting.'"

The comparison to Helen of Troy was made by a user who wrote, "She’s unreal. This is genuinely a face people would go to war for." Other comments noted a resemblance to "pretty girls from 90s romantic comedies." One user directly stated, "This is Rachel Weisz's daughter," while another posted on Rubin's Instagram, "our new Julia Roberts ❤️."

Rubin previously played Anne Hathaway's daughter in the 2024 Prime Video romantic comedy "The Idea of You." In "Sterling Point," she portrays Annie Jacobson, an ambitious New York City teenager who inherits a Canadian island from her late grandfather.

Rubin spoke about working with "Sterling Point" creator Megan Park, telling The Hollywood Reporter that Park "really prioritizes an actor’s wants and needs." She added, "Often it’s too scary to say it or voice it, and I think because we got to know each other so well in the process of collaborating, she often would know what I needed."

Her other acting credits include roles in the television shows "The Girl From Plainville" and "Gossip Girl." Rubin is also slated to appear in Netflix's adaptation of Liz Moore's novel "The God of the Woods," where she will play a camp counselor named Louise Donnadieu. She praised the project in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, noting the complex character written by Moore.
