Aaron Tveit is set to return to the Broadway production of "Moulin Rouge!" to reprise his role as Christian for the show's final 15 performances. Tveit, who originated the character on Broadway, will perform from August 18 to August 29 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The celebrated jukebox musical, based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film, is scheduled to close on Sunday, August 30. The final performance will feature Christian Douglas, the current actor playing Christian, taking over the role again.

Tickets for Tveit's limited engagement are available. As of publication, the lowest price found for any of Tveit's shows was $125, including fees, for matinee performances on August 19 and August 26 via SeatGeek. Other available seats for his performances start between $141 and $183, including fees. A promo code, NYPOST10, offers $10 off purchases over $250 for first-time SeatGeek users.

Rounding out the cast alongside Tveit will be Kelsie Watts as Satine, Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, David Harris as The Duke of Monroth, and Ricky Rojas as Santiago.

When the show opened on Broadway in July 2019, The Post's review noted that director Alex Timbers successfully focused on "grandiose emotions, sensuality and the storybook sensation of first love," with Tveit's "puppy-dog innocence" being ideal for the role.

In 2021, "Moulin Rouge!" received 14 Tony nominations, winning ten awards, including Best Musical, Best Director of a Musical for Alex Timbers, and Best Actor in a Musical for Aaron Tveit. Tveit's prior Broadway credit before this return was in "Chess" from October 2025 through June 2026.

The musical runs approximately two hours and 35 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. Performances are Tuesday through Sunday, with matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m., and Sunday shows at 5 p.m.
