Aaron Rodgers has publicly criticized two of his former partners, actress Shailene Woodley and former racing star Danica Patrick, questioning their reasons for continuing to discuss their past relationships with him.
During an appearance on the “Not Just Football” podcast, Rodgers stated that Woodley and Patrick seem to discuss him to maintain relevance, suggesting their "height of their fame was when they were with me" and that they "get clicks when they say my name." He added, "You’re not relevant. Move on with your life."
Rodgers spoke about his relationship with Patrick, which began in 2018. He described her as "depressed and not fun to be around" and stated their relationship had "no intimacy." He also mentioned that Patrick later claimed she was "totally blindsided" by their breakup and that he "leaves a trail of blood everywhere." Patrick herself has previously described the relationship as "emotionally abusive."
Regarding Woodley, whom he was briefly engaged to, Rodgers recounted that she accepted his proposal but later told him, "before we get married, I gotta go fuck this guy." He also stated that Woodley's narrative is that he "ruined her life and gave her a crazy depression because I left her," claiming she took off her engagement ring a few months after he proposed. Rodgers added that they attempted to reconcile a couple of times, but "nothing ever happened," and Woodley told him, "I don’t want to be with you."
Rodgers asserted that both women "portray things a certain way because they can get away with it," contrasting it with his perspective on their past relationships. Representatives for Woodley and Patrick were reportedly contacted for comment.
