A 1990s pop star was photographed in Los Angeles on Wednesday, dressed casually for a lunch with friends. The 52-year-old singer wore a navy T-shirt, sat at an outdoor table and kept a black watch on his wrist, with a pair of gold sunglasses resting on the table.
Identified by the Daily Mail as Joey McIntyre, the Boston-born performer joined New Kids on the Block in 1985 just before his 13th birthday. The group became one of the era’s most successful boy bands, logging two Billboard 200 No. 1 albums and earning the title of highest-earning entertainers of 1991, ahead of Madonna and Michael Jackson. The group disbanded in 1994 but reunited in 2008 and has released five albums during their initial run and three more since reuniting.
NKOTB launched a Las Vegas residency this year, The Right Stuff production, at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The run began June 20 and concluded July 5, 2025, with additional dates scheduled for November 1–15, 2025.
Donnie Wahlberg, 54, whose younger brother Mark Wahlberg was briefly in the group, said the residency would let the band elevate the performance and interaction with fans. "We plan on maximizing everything that the amazing Dolby Live at Park MGM has to offer, to create the most incredible NKOTB concert ever," Wahlberg said in a statement via People. "Las Vegas will never be the same after the New Kids and the Blockheads take over the town." He added: "It’s not just a show, it’s an experience."
