Armando Rubio, a star of the TLC series "90 Day Fiancé," has shared an update on his daughter Hannah's health crisis. Hannah, 13, is hospitalized in Phoenix, Arizona, following a brain bleed.
Kenny Niedermeier, Rubio's husband, posted a photo of Hannah on Instagram Stories Friday, indicating she had successfully come through a recent procedure. "She came out of the latest procedure very well," Niedermeier wrote, adding that more updates would follow. He also expressed gratitude for the public's support, stating, "Thank you all again for all the care and kindness. We are grateful."
Rubio, who is currently in Mexico due to immigration issues that prevent him from traveling to Arizona, reshared Niedermeier's post. He had previously informed followers that Hannah had complained of not feeling well, exhibiting facial drooping and weakness on one side of her body. The teenager was initially transported by ambulance from their Mexican town to an Arizona medical facility due to a lack of necessary testing equipment, and was subsequently airlifted to the state capital.
Niedermeier was in Ohio for a family funeral when Hannah's medical emergency began. He has since been able to remain by Hannah's side at the hospital, joined by Rubio's mother. Rubio, however, was reportedly denied temporary humanitarian parole at the U.S. border, preventing him from joining his family. "Every parent wants to be at their child’s bedside when they’re sick, and not being able to hold her hand or comfort her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced," Rubio told Page Six earlier in the week.
Rubio had previously detailed that doctors diagnosed Hannah with a brain bleed. He also shared that doctors were considering an angioplasty to further investigate the condition, a procedure that would require Hannah to be placed under anesthesia. "I spoke to Kenny, and he said the MRI gave no answers," Rubio explained, becoming emotional as he described the potential surgery. "The next step, I think they said they were gonna do an angioplasty, to see if they [can] get answers through there. Most likely they will, they think, but that means they have to put her out."
Fans have contributed to a GoFundMe campaign established to help cover Hannah's medical expenses, which has reportedly raised over $146,000. "I can’t thank any of you enough," Rubio stated. "You guys all have been angels through this and made it a little easier, even though I can’t be with her."
