Commercial crude oil stockpiles in the United States fell for the fifth consecutive week, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported. Crude inventories decreased by 865,000 barrels.

Additionally, distillate inventories, which include heating oil and diesel fuel, dropped to their lowest level in more than two decades. The EIA data indicates a significant drawdown in these essential fuel reserves.
