Roseanne Barr has placed her California vacation home in West Hills on the market for $1.37 million.
The listing follows Barr's public statements expressing dissatisfaction with California. In a November 2 post on X, she stated, “I already fled California because democrats are the worst.”
Barr, 74, moved to Texas last year and resides outside Austin on a 30-acre property. She has been active in various pursuits there, including farming, gardening, and recording podcasts. She recently completed her first major scripted TV show since her sitcom revival was canceled in 2018 due to controversial tweets.
The West Hills property, located at 7037 Middlesbury Ridge Circle, is a three-bedroom, two-bath ranch house built in 1964. It sits on just under a third of an acre and offers canyon and treetop views. Records indicate Barr purchased the home for $1.3 million in 2021.
According to Barr, the single-level home appealed to her desire for “fresh air and peace and quiet” during the pandemic. She described it as a "weekend getaway, a place to escape all the craziness," highlighting the canyon views, a pool suitable for grandchildren, and the ability to walk to nearby locations.
The house features a great room with an open kitchen and dining area, a fireplace, and access to the backyard. The primary bedroom suite also opens to the exterior. The landscaped backyard includes a covered patio and a pool.
Despite selling this property, Barr still owns other homes in California, according to listing broker Ben Malka of The Beverly Hills Estates. Last year, she sold a 46-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii for $2.6 million after it received significant interest.
