The summer transfer window, open until September 1, is entering a critical phase as English football clubs aim to finalize signings before the new season commences. Several clubs are actively negotiating deals, with notable developments surrounding Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Ipswich Town.

Brighton is seeking approximately £80 million for the 22-year-old Gambian international, who is currently sidelined with an injury expected to last until October. Liverpool had initially hoped to secure a deal closer to £50 million. Additionally, the club has yet to receive a formal approach from Celta Vigo regarding midfielder Stefan Bajcetic, a 21-year-old who began his career at Vigo.

Corinthians is reportedly holding out for a higher sum for the 20-year-old, who made his league debut just a year ago. Meanwhile, Tottenham has inquired about Forest full-back Neco Williams, but he is expected to remain at the City Ground.

Ipswich Town is nearing the finalization of a £23.5 million deal for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios. The 27-year-old Argentinian international has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract. Ipswich is also looking to secure a fee of £9 million for midfielder Anis Mehmeti, who has attracted interest from Wrexham, Birmingham, and Derby.
