Chanel Pysnik, who served as Head of Nonfiction, Film & TV for Archewell Productions, has departed the company founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Pysnik had been with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's production company for five and a half years.

In a statement to Deadline, Pysnik called it "an honor to build Archewell Productions alongside Harry and Meghan for nearly six years." She added that she was "incredibly proud of what we have accomplished" and thanked the couple for their trust.

Pysnik was instrumental in the development of several Archewell projects. She executive produced the 2022 docuseries "Harry & Meghan" and Markle's lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan," which was canceled after two seasons. Other projects she worked on include Harry's "Polo," "Heart of Invictus," and the documentary "Cookie Queens."

The Sussexes launched Archewell Productions in 2020 after stepping down as senior members of the British royal family. Their partnership with Netflix has faced scrutiny, with reports of behind-the-scenes tensions and questions surrounding the success of their projects. In March, two of their planned Netflix movie projects were reportedly in limbo.

Last month, reports indicated that Archewell had quietly reduced its staff, leaving the company with a smaller team at its Los Angeles offices. These reductions primarily affected production crews for specific projects rather than full-time employees of Archewell Productions.
