Mulberry Street Pizzeria, a popular Los Angeles-based pizza restaurant, will close its Las Vegas Strip location on September 14, concluding a five-year presence at Resorts World Las Vegas. The announcement was made this week via Instagram by founder Ritchie Palmer.

"Resorts World was Mulberry’s first location outside of California, so it’s been an important chapter for the brand and one we’re incredibly proud of," Palmer stated. He noted that the store was "a thriving success from beginning to end" and thanked the "more than one million customers" served. Palmer also hinted at a potential return to Las Vegas, adding, "Las Vegas…we’re not cashing out! See you soon."

Known for its thin, foldable New York-style pizza, Mulberry Street Pizzeria opened its Las Vegas outpost in 2021. The restaurant quickly became a late-night destination for patrons of nearby nightclubs and dayclubs, offering a popular carb-heavy option. The eatery is an institution in Los Angeles, with established locations in Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, and Encino. Over the years, it has attracted a celebrity clientele, with stars such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Robert De Niro reportedly having frequented its establishments.

According to Vital Vegas, Resorts World opted not to renew Mulberry Street Pizzeria's lease as part of a strategy to phase out third-party vendors in favor of in-house food and beverage operations. Reports suggest potential tensions may have arisen in 2023 when the resort allegedly required the pizzeria to close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, a move intended to direct foot traffic toward other dining options within the resort.

Fans expressed dismay on social media following the announcement, with many lamenting the closure and praising the pizza as some of the best in Las Vegas. Some commenters speculated that the location's operational restrictions contributed to the decision, with one user writing on Instagram, "Some of the best pizza ever deserves to be in a spot where y’all don’t have to close two full days a week due to no foot traffic!!"
