Bunnings has introduced matching lids for its popular $1 mini buckets, fulfilling a long-standing request from customers. The lids, priced at 30 cents each, are now available in stores approximately one year after the miniature buckets first launched and quickly sold out.

The 600mL buckets became a hit with shoppers for their versatility in storing small items such as screws, bolts, craft supplies, and even plants. However, the absence of a lid was a frequent point of feedback from consumers.

A Bunnings shopper shared the news of the lid's arrival on social media, sparking delight among other customers. "It's about time the lids came in," one user commented, while another expressed, "OMG I need the lids for my mini buckets."

The original mini buckets were released 12 months ago as smaller versions of Bunnings' 10L ($4.49) and 20L ($8.99) buckets. Their compact size and usefulness for various storage needs quickly led to them selling out, with many customers sharing their ideas for their applications, from party favors to garden collecting.

Previously, customers had suggested lids would enhance the buckets' utility, envisioning them for kitchen staples like coffee, tea, and sugar, or for organizing small hardware in workshops. The addition of the lids addresses these suggestions, further increasing the functionality of the already popular mini buckets.
