British rapper and YouTube creator Yung Filly has been granted permission by a Perth court to travel to the United Kingdom while remaining on bail in Western Australia, a magistrate said Friday.

Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 30, has been on bail in Perth since October 2024 after being accused of raping a woman in a hotel room following a performance in the city. At Perth District Court, Judge Gary William Massey approved his lawyers' application to vary bail conditions so Barrientos may return to Britain, provided he surrenders his passport and returns to Australia in January, giving him a roughly three-month window to visit the UK ahead of his scheduled trial.

Barrientos is accused of raping and assaulting a woman in his Perth hotel room on Sept. 29, 2024, after performing at Bar1 Nightclub in the suburb of Hillarys. He denied multiple charges earlier this year, including three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one count of strangulation and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. He has not yet entered pleas to two further counts of sexual penetration without consent, court records show.

The matter is next listed for mention at Perth District Court on Feb. 5, and a trial is scheduled to begin there on July 20, 2026. The travel approval does not alter those dates and requires Barrientos to return to Australia by the deadline set by the court and to hand over his passport to local authorities.

Separately, Barrientos has faced an allegation stemming from an incident in Magaluf, Spain, last summer. British police received a complaint from a woman who said she was raped after attending events where Barrientos performed; UK authorities passed details to Spanish investigators. The allegation prompted a probe by a Majorcan court and involvement by the Spanish Civil Guard. It is unclear whether the alleged victim has been questioned in Spain, and there have been no public developments in that investigation since March.

A court source said the Majorcan magistrate had formally requested assistance from Australian authorities to question Barrientos under oath on behalf of the Spanish investigation. Officials routinely use such channels to coordinate evidence and testimony in cross-border criminal matters.

Barrientos, who performs as Yung Filly, was born in Colombia and moved to London with his mother and sister at the age of two. He launched his YouTube channel in 2013 and rose to prominence later in the decade, appearing on BBC programs and performing at charity and entertainment events. He appeared on Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer and on Would I Lie to You? in 2022, and scored for England in the 2020 Soccer Aid match.

His online presence includes collaborations with other creators, including Beta Squad and members of the Sidemen, and his channel has attracted more than 1.8 million subscribers, according to public-facing profiles. He also has about 2.7 million followers on Instagram and his most viewed song, "Grey," has accrued roughly 19 million plays on YouTube. No new videos have been posted to his channel for about a year.

Last month Barrientos was photographed smiling with a McDonald’s employee in Western Australia after she asked for a selfie while he was in a drive-through; the image circulated on social media but did not relate to the criminal proceedings.

Court documents and public records provide the timeline of bail conditions and scheduled court dates. Prosecutors and Barrientos’ legal team did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The Australian police and the Spanish authorities have previously said inquiries remain active and are being handled through established legal channels.
