Young Landscaper Tragically Killed in Freak Accident
Kaine Fisher, 22, died after a car veered off the road and into the yard where he was working.
A 22-year-old landscaper, Kaine Fisher, has died following a tragic accident on September 21 in Carramar, Perth. Fisher was working in the garden of a family friend when a Toyota Corolla lost control, left the road, and struck him.
He sustained critical injuries and was transported to Royal Perth Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Fisher's parents were overseas at the time of the incident and were notified of their son's critical condition via a late-night phone call.
His family confirmed his death on the social media page for his landscaping business. A post described Fisher as "the truest definition of selfless—always giving, always helping and always thinking of others." It also stated he "took an immense pride in his work and in helping others."
A fundraiser set up for his family described Fisher as someone who "didn’t have a bad bone in his body" and was "always there for anyone who needed a hand or needed some advice." The fundraiser noted his significant impact on the lives of those who knew him.
Tributes poured in from clients, former teachers, and his local football club. The Warwick Greenwood Bulls Amateur Football Club remembered him as a "genuine spirit" who assisted the club in various support roles even after an injury prevented him from playing.
Peter Moyes Anglican Community School, where Fisher graduated in 2022, recalled his "quiet strength and empathy." The school highlighted his leadership during his middle years, characterizing it by "humility, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others."
A 74-year-old man, who was driving the Toyota Corolla, remained at the scene and has been assisting police with their investigation. Major crash investigators are involved, and the police investigation is ongoing. No charges have been laid at this time. Authorities are requesting anyone with information or relevant footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
