A woman accused of posing as a male Army surgeon has denied claims she was role-playing in a sexual relationship with a female victim, a court heard.
Blade Silvano, 44, allegedly met the woman on the dating website Plenty of Fish while falsely claiming to be a man named 'Hunter.' The pair began meeting for sex, but 'Hunter' reportedly insisted the lights be kept low and prohibited the victim from seeing 'his' groin, claiming it was sensitive.
The alleged victim testified that she only discovered 'Hunter' was a woman after being contacted by her lover's 'wife.' She insisted that at no point did she suspect 'Hunter' was posing as a man and stated she would not have engaged with the profile if she had known.
During the relationship, Silvano allegedly sent sexual messages, videos, and voice notes, at one point claiming to have a 'high sperm count' and referencing the Pussycat Dolls hit song 'Don't Cha.'
Silvano, of no fixed address, denies six counts of sexual assault by penetration. The prosecution alleges Silvano deliberately misled the victim for months, falsely presenting herself as a biological male with a penis. The defense claims the alleged victim was aware of Silvano's gender. The trial is ongoing.
